Lets Discuss The Revolutionary Spiraflex Technology on the Bowflex Revolution FT

The Bowflex Revolution FT looks nothing like the Bowflex PR1000 or PR3000.
It’s a completely different machine.  Though Bowflex revolution FTit still comes with a small footprint, it definitely has a heavier and more solid construction than those earlier models, which partly accounts for the higher price tag.  Its Spiraflex technology is another major reason.   Bowflex Power Rod technology on earlier Bowflex models was pretty amazing.  Spiraflex technology, however, is more cutting-edge.  It was originally developed for the use of astronauts on the International Space Station.

In a nutshell, Power Rod technology uses progressive resistance that increases in intensity through the exercise.  Power Rod units can be used individually or in combination to provide weight options ranging from 5 lbs. to 310 lbs.  On the other hand, Spiraflex technology uses linear, as opposed to progressive, resistance in a rotary motion.  Lightweight, interlocking Spiraflex plates fit together easily to provide resistance ranging from 10 lbs. to 300 lbs for upper body workouts and up to 600 lbs. for the legs.

Both Power Rod and Spiraflex technology enable you to do circuit training better and faster since you don’t have to remove or add weight plates or switch from one piece of equipment to another.   However, the Bowflex Revolution FT with Spiraflex technology takes circuit training a notch higher.  How versatile is it?  You can do up to 90 different exercises with the full range of motion on this one!  The Freedom Arms come with comfortable hand grips and enable you to work out at different angles up to 170 degrees.  On this particular model, you can have up to 200 lbs. of resistance for upper body workouts, which can easily be upgraded to 280 pounds.  By switching interlocking plates, you can add weight in 5 lb. increments in a matter of seconds.

Another great thing about the Bowflex Revolution FT is that each side of this home gym works independently so it can be used by two different users.  It’s like buying two machines for the price of one.  You can work out by yourself when you’d like to have privacy or you can exercise with a workout buddy to keep you motivated.  This way, you can double the fun.  For a couple, it can be a bonding experience.  This dual function feature also enables a fitness trainer or an experienced user to provide expert guidance for a novice or beginner.

If you’re new at using this equipment and have no one to personally teach you, you’ll be delighted to learn that the Bowflex Revolution FT comes with a DVD workout video.  Even if you’re a big fan of free weights, you’ll find it easy to get used to training on the Bowflex Revolution FT.  In fact, you’ll be pleased to discover that unlike free weights, you work out just as hard at the beginning of a movement as you do at the end of it.  It effectively targets those problem areas you find hard to tone such as abs, arms, lower back, buttocks, and thighs so you’ll feel more confident about the way you look.

Since the footprint on this device is small, it is ideal for small residential spaces such as condos and apartments.  If you’re sharing a house with other residents, you can easily keep it in your room for your own private use.  Even if you have a big house, you’ll love the way this compact yet powerful home gym keeps your home feeling spacious rather than crowded while it keeps you fit for the life you were meant to live!
